For one uninterrupted indoor flight. Compare a new unit with a professionally reconditioned option. General range: $2,900–$8,000, new or used.

Curved stair lifts

For bends, winding treads, or a continuous ride across a landing. The rail is fitted to the staircase. General pricing: $12,000 and up.

What makes the final price change?

The rail

Length, turns, intermediate landings, custom fabrication, folding sections, and extra parking runs change the quote. Straight and curved lifts are not interchangeable products.

The rider’s options

Seat dimensions, rated capacity, swivel operation, footrest, and controls should fit the person using the lift. Ask whether a less expensive configuration remains suitable.

Installation and service

Electrical work, site repairs, outdoor exposure, labor coverage, call-out fees, and later battery replacement can change the total cost of ownership.

New vs used vs rental

Compare total cost—not just a monthly number.

Buy new

Compare the exact model, seat fit, powered options, parts coverage, labor warranty, and service arrangements. New equipment is worth comparing when you expect long-term use or need specific features.

Buy reconditioned

A professionally supplied used straight lift may reduce the initial cost. Ask about the age, battery condition, replacement parts, installation, and written warranty. A used curved rail should not be assumed to fit another home.

Ask about rental

For temporary use, ask whether a suitable straight-lift rental is available. Compare installation, monthly charges, minimum term, maintenance, and removal against a purchase. Rentals and stock are not guaranteed.

For financing, if offered, compare the cash price, APR, fees, term, and total repayable amount. We do not advertise a finance rate or guarantee approval.
